This charming 19th century cottage has been sympathetically renovated, combining original features and traditional Highland décor with contemporary elements, resulting in a cosy and exceptionally stylish holiday property.

The open-plan ground floor features a cosy sitting area with wood burning stove, a sleek modern kitchen with stone worktops and a bold contemporary staircase with steel rails and oak treads. A mix of period and modern furniture, paintings and solid oak flooring creates a homely but elegant space.

The kitchen is well equipped with everything you might need for cooking up a feast, as well as plenty of matching wine glasses and crockery.  The all important bootroom has space for all your outdoor gear as well as dog beds.

Upstairs there are two spacious double bedrooms featuring designer wallpaper and antique furniture.   The comfortable Hypnos beds are made up with feather duvets and fine white cotton linen, ensuring a good night's sleep. The bathroom has a magnificent vintage roll top bath as well as a separate modern shower.  Little luxuries like thick cotton towels and organic bathroom products by the Highland Soap Company will make bath time a pleasure.

Keeper's Cottage can be rented together with Stalker's Lodge next door which has a dining table big enough for 10 - perfect for two families holidaying together or an extended family group.

"Every room is beautifully decorated. We felt like we were living in an interiors magazine. The bedrooms are lovely and big...The bathroom has an amazing deep cast iron green bath. It's just fab!"

The rear of the house has a large private garden with mature plants and a stream running through it. A waterfall cascades over the stone dyke near the sunny patio, providing a wonderfully relaxing background for eating outdoors or enjoying a quiet drink.

From the front of the house there is a beautiful view across the rolling fields of sheep grazing and down the glen beyond.

There is a games room, shared with the holiday cottage next door, with pool table, table tennis and darts.

Heating and hotwater is provided by a biomass boiler which runs on waste timber from the estate, and the cottage is very well insulated, so not only is it warm but extremely environmentally friendly too.

Minimum 7 nights stay in July and August, Saturday to Saturday.  Click the HomeAway link above to check availability.

We have high chairs and travel cots for babies and small children as well as stair gates and an all terrain pram.  Please contact us in advance to arrange.

We welcome well behaved dogs and respectful owners! Dogs are not allowed upstairs and must sleep in the utility room overnight. As this is a working estate so dogs must be kept under control and on a lead around livestock. They can be excercised off the lead in the 5 acre Millennium Wood near by.
